Special Interest Group Reproductive Endocrinology organisiert einen workshop zur ovariellen Stimulation

GnRH-antagonists have been introduced to practice approximately 12 years ago. This one-day workshop will cover all clinical aspects of ovarian stimulation with GnRH-antagonists. The aim is to summarize and update current understanding of antagonist stimulation with an emphasis on clinical IVF studies. The workshop will start with a lecture block dealing with the efficacy of GnRH-antagonist protocols. For this purpose, members of the Cochrane Menstrual Disorders and Subfertility group will be present and lecture on the latest systematic review comparing GnRH-antagonist and GnRH-agonist ovarian stimulation for IVF. There will be a debate session on how safety of IVF treatment can best be improved by utilization of GnRH-antagonists. A further session will deal with the endocrinology of GnRH-antagonist stimulation and finally, management issues referring to daily practice will be covered.
